Tapestries like this one were machine loomed around the turn of the last century (this one is likely from the 1920’s). They were popular because they harkened back to Louis XIV’s reign and the later Rococo movement.
Please note the hanging ribbon is not included. There is a metal eye hook at the top but you can easily add a hanging wire to the back. less
