I painted this high-contrast bouquet of wildflowers just recently as Mother's Day was approaching and I began thinking about the bright and clumsy bouquets my daughter used to gather in our Southern California neighborhood when she was little. She is much older now, and we haven't lived there for many years, but I enjoyed reminiscing and painting it.
It features a riot of daisies and poppies and dahlias and yellow sprouting weedy blossoms. These intensely bright flowers in colors of yellow and pink and orange and red radiate vibrantly against the deep dark indigo of the background. The vase holding the flowers features pink and white gulls and other birds including geese and ducks against a black background and with red details. Patterned leaves in a range of greens round out the rainbow of colors in this playful, crayon-drawn and gouache-painted floral still life.
The frame is attached to the board and cannot be removed. The 11x14 painting will ship in glassine and padding in a box.

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).
- On approved returns, the buyer is responsible for the full cost of return packing and shipping.
Cancellations
- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
