This incredibly unique design, named the Starck & Shark Collection, was initially created for L'Oreal as mirrors for the company's salon hairdressers. The pattern was then utilized for various home decor items under Philippe Starck's patent. This double-sided picture frame uses two sheets of glass to hold the photograph. The design is complimented with a chrome-plated metal shark fin and clip. The hand-written Starck signature is visible on the metal element. This frame is an original piece from the early model, and it still has its gray hard plastic base marked "Shark - Starck for L'Oreal - Made in Italy - Presence Paris."
The photo frame is in excellent condition, with no pronounced signs of wear.
