Store your magazines, records, or treasures in style with this wood and Repoussé brass storage beauty. This piece was made with outstanding craftsmanship and boasts very detailed textured, scalloped pattern. Repoussé or repoussage refer to a metalworking technique in which a malleable metal is shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief. It sits slightly elevated with two long wooden feet on the underside and has a nice slanted opening with two compartments and a handle. This piece is not only handsome, but very sturdy and substantial since the entire piece is made of heavy wood (under the brass). It was made in the mid century era and has a hint of hollywood regency glam to it that can't be denied!
