Born in Copenhagen in 1902, Arne Jacobsen studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of the Arts and went on to become one of Denmark’s most famous architects and designers.
Under the influence of Le Corbusier, Walter Gropius, and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Jacobsen began incorporating his construction quality into furniture designs.
