This compact corner cabinet was made by an un’nown manufacturer in the late 1930s - early 1940s and originally purchased in a furniture gallery in Tidewater VA. Crafted in solid mahogany, it features a dark reddish brown finish with a soft glow. The upper section has a single pane wood framed glass door with a Gothic arch wood grille behind. Inside, there is a solid wood bottom and 2 fixed wood shelves with plate grooves. The bottom section features a single drawer and double wood doors with applied bead molding detail. Behind the doors are a wood bottom and one fixed wood shelf. The piece is capped with a Greek Key crown molding and has Federal style hardware (heavily patinated). Simple lines and compact size compatible with today’s smaller spaces. Requires approx. 22.5” on each wall of a corner (will vary based on depth of base and any applied wall moldings).
