The water damage throughout means these lamps will never shine properly again. But for those purchasers who need a brass lamp that looks to have been exposed to the sea air, and prefer Stiffel lamps for that application then these are just the pair for you. less
- Description
- Stiffel brass lamps with some staining on body and water damage on the base. They are labeled: "Stiffel Model 6222" … more Stiffel brass lamps with some staining on body and water damage on the base. They are labeled: "Stiffel Model 6222" with what appears dates of "5 96" on one felt cover from base and "9 96" marked on the felt of the matching lamp. I would assume that these marks mean that this set of6222 model lamps were manufactured in 5/96 and passed quality control on 9/96. No Stiffel marks were discovered on the brass when the felt covers were removed. They are mounted to cardboard so the next owner can have them affixed with the correct epoxy. I don't believe I have the proper gum-based adhesive and don't want to compound the damage to the base finish in attempting to re-affix. These were special order, very expensive and were delivered by Thanksgiving to 1996. The water damage throughout means these lamps will never shine properly again. But for those purchasers who need a brass lamp that looks to have been exposed to the sea air, and prefer Stiffel lamps for that application, these are just the pair for you. less
