The upper section is shelves with … more This stunning neo-classic vitrine/display cabinet is not only handsome, but also versatile and useful. The upper section is shelves with a glass door, with a single drawer below. In the living room it’s perfect to hold your collection of favorite objects; in the dining room for your china & crystal; in the study for your books; and in the bedroom for your collection of sweaters or prized purses. In France, curtains in beautiful fabrics were often put on the inside of the door to make the interior totally utilitarian for storage – something that is still possible.
This piece is hand-made of maple with beautiful European bird’s eye maple veneer. Etruscan designs are stenciled on the crown, drawer, and door frame. The door has its original glass. The drawer has a lid which slides over the entire drawer to keep out dust. The three shelves are adjustable, and more could be added. The crown lifts off for ease of moving, and the shelves and drawer are also removable. No matter how often you move or re-decorate, this piece will always find a home!- less
