The top lampshade appears to be enamel on metal and the bracket that holds it in place appears to be either bronze or bronze plated. The switch for the lamp is located on its cord. Great on a desk or a bookcase especially if you have any mod space- age furniture. Goes really well with Vico Magistretti white fiberglass chairs. It has a very space-age vibe and looks like something out of 2001 SpaceOdyssey or Clockwork Orange. Extremely hard to find as well. I haven’t seen another and I have never been able to track down where it was sold or who the designer was. Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions. Cheers less
