The top lampshade appears to be enamel on metal and the bracket that holds it in place appears to be either bronze or bronze plated. The switch for the lamp is located on its cord. Great on a desk or a bookcase especially if you have any mod space- age furniture. Goes really well with Vico Magistretti white fiberglass chairs. It has a very space-age vibe and looks like something out of 2001 SpaceOdyssey or Clockwork Orange. Extremely hard to find as well. The piece in terrific shape. It has some light scratches here and there and a couple of discolorations. I just gave it a quick clean with a disinfectant wipe. I didn’t go crazy with cleaning it. Some of these little marks may or may not come out, but they are not noticeable..
