Secede', Oil and Beeswax on Panel, 23.25" x 23.25" by Curtis Phillips, 1998. Contemporary landscape painting. Imbued with a majestic stillness reminiscent of Bierstadt and brooding atmospheres akin to Turner, Phillips' paintings are beautifully executed and hauntingly seductive. Mesmerizing.
