Pedro Coronel was a revered Mexican artist (1921-1985). He is considered one of the most prestigious Mexican artists of the 20th century. There is a museum called Galeria Coronel in Mexico that was founded, in part, to preserve his donated collection. Los Alucinados is an oil painting the artist completed in 1959 during his semi-abstract figurative period.
