Important mantelpiece that includes two elegant covered vases "cassolettes", cast in spelter and patinated in brown and gilt bronze, second half of the 19th century.
The two cassolettes are in baluster form with two handles. Decorated with a rich ornamentation of grooves, vegetal and laurel wreaths and finely carved bodies depicting classical scenes of Ancient Greece or Rome.
They are raised on square bases of black marble veined in white with four points of support with detailed vegetal decoration.
Signed E. PICAULT (Émile Louis Picault), FRANCE, in the second half of the 19th century.
Its condition is excellent, without cracks or repairs with a minimum trace of the passage of time.
They will undoubtedly raise the decoration of your home up a notch.
