This finely potted large porcelain piece features beautiful contour lines and is adorned with hand-painted meandering leafy scrolls bearing large peonies in underglaze deep cobalt blue. The overall design reveals a clear influence of the imperial porcelain styles of the early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It is in excellent condition, with minor age-related wear and discoloration to the finishes of the fittings. The lampshade is in used but good condition as well.
