Marked with the Green Nippon Morimura Mark #47.

I believe this beautiful piece to be somewhat unusual and rare. I have thoroughly persuaded all 7 volumes of the Collector’s Encyclopedia of Nippon Porcelain (Joyce Van Patten), and did not come up with another vase produced in this black porcelain. Nor did I find one at the high end sources like 1st Dibs, Sotheby's, auction houses etc.

The lavish raised design of florals and trim throughout is stunning against the black background. Remarkable detail by the sculptor/artist.

9” high

5” Diameter.

It is part of my personal collection. Downsizing and relocating makes it necessary to divest myself of some of my treasures. You will not be unhappy with this vase.

Condition: Excellent. Displays so beautifully. There was a tiny chip on the rim. It has been repaired by my artist husband. Not easily detected. See last photo. Repaired are is directly above the middle flower. less
