Ewa Matyja's journey from sales and fashion to becoming a self-taught artist is a testament to her passion for creativity and her willingness to pursue her artistic vision. Born in Poland in 1985, her extensive travels across Europe, America, and Asia likely contributed to the diverse influences evident in her work.
She currently lives and works in Bali, Indonesia.
Matyja's commitment to her craft shines through in the compelling quality of her work, which often explores themes of abstract expressionism and the human experience. As she describes it, each brushstroke tells a narrative of emotions and chaos inherent in everyday existence.
Inspired by nature, architecture, culture, and the human condition, Matyja blends traditional mediums, including acrylics, charcoal, oils, pastels, ink, and textured heavy-body acrylics, to create depth and rich textures.
