Vintage; C.1960s-70s; Scandinavian, Norwegian made, original numbered, terra-cotta, clay turned pottery, in a matte-glazed finish, is this large charger display bowl on a round pedestal turned base. Earthen colors were prevalant in Scandinavian design esthetics, from furniture, to industrial and decorative designs. Often times, incorporated by some, including in clay pottery a matte glazed finish was applied in an overall coloration, with hand=painted details with pop of color, but with a subdued colorations process, and the use of natural colors like green white and charcoal which is used here, as well as floral elements, which the interior bowl depicts a chorus af tulip incised flowers design pattern. Signed on the underside, with provenance country, stating, "Hand Made in Norway," inclusion to this is the European way of numbering pieces, which dictates the total production number produced/made of certain pattern and bowl, and underneath that the particular production number, so in essence here it states, for the record, 2374/415.
