Repogle is an American company known for it production of globes. This authentic Repogle "World Class Series", globe made of paper and hard plastic is 12 inches in diameter with raised texture depicting the geography with vibrant colors. It is mounted on a sold wood turned pole with bronze tone metal base..The globe spins on the North/South axis, but also rotates on hinges on the stand. The moderate size of the piece makes a statement, but it is lightweight and could be move easily for styling. The legend on this globe shows the city population, steamship routes, statute miles and nautical miles/kilometers of that time by Cartographer, LeRoy M. Tolman.
Researching vintage Repogle globes this is estimated to have been made in 1971. Given its vintage age it's in great condition as there are no scratches or tears on the piece.
It's interesting to see how much the world has changed and how it is noted on this vintage piece. If you're a collector of vintage globes or those made by the American Repogle brand then make this world classic a "keeper" in your home.
