This majestic library table was hand-carved in Italy during the early 1600’s. Two thick planks of rich walnut wood comprise the top. Intricately carved frieze on wide carved end pieces, culminating in large paw feet. Table is supported by a large thick beam stretcher. Wood retains a wonderfully rich patina. Both sides of the table are carved with Armorial Crest. The carving on this rare table is exceptional quality. At almost 104 inches long and over 36 inches wide, this early 17th century Italian walnut library table will make a grand statement piece.
