Antique Espana Porcelain Applied Flower Dresser Box Cachepot
The bulk of my inventory comes from estate sales. This romantically beautiful piece is from an exclusive gated community in Pinehurst, NC. Rarely do I encounter a treasure such as this gorgeous box.
The only apt descriptive word for this piece is "exquisite." Heavy gold gilt on a cobalt blue porcelain background. Footed and lidded. Literally hundreds of floral blossoms that have been painstakingly and individually applied. Chrysanthemums, daisies, roses, lilies, forget-me-nots and more. Florals and leaves enhanced with more gold gilt. 7-1/2” long, 6-1/2” high, 4-3/4” wide I have been unable to determine the name of the maker. The underside mark is a shield with M___RE over a cross over TRE. Marked Espana.
Condition: Excellent. No chips or cracks. No broken flowers. less
