This is a great piece. I have bought and sold a few photographs by John Wawrzonek in the past. I actually have a couple hanging in my home as well that I havent sold. For those not familiar with the Contemporary Landscape Photograph master I have included his biography below. This is one of a few I am offering this week. I acquired a couple from a major collection and a couple from a corporate art collection. This is a beautiful example of the artist's work. A stunning original photograph measuring 24 3/4 x 19 1/2 inches on sheet measuring 26 x 21 inches. Perfect as printed condition. This is one of the artist' early work which were only dye transfer photographs. Really a stunning view. Signed and titled in pencil on the archival matte. It is also signed and titled as well as numbered from an edition of 100 in the lower margin of the sheet. Archival hinged in original matte. Matte measures 31 x 27 inches. Unframed. If you collect the photographers work, make sure you check my store for the others I am offering. Happy to combine shipping if you buy more than one. Add only $10 more for S&H&I for each additional Wawrzonek you purchase.
For those not familiar with the photographer, his biography from his website reads: " John Wawrzonek was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island in 1941. He received S.B., S.M., and E.E. degrees in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He began photographing while working in engineering and marketing at Bose Corporation in Framingham, Massachusetts. He was part of the start-up group at Bose and led its acoustic engineering, advertising and marketing efforts for several years as well as developing electronic systems for NASA. Largely self-taught in photography, Wawrzonek started photographing under the guidance of Bela Kalman and studied briefly with Stephen Gersh of the Essex Photographic Workshop and Lauren Shaw of Emerson College. He also studied dye transfer printing with William Butler.
