Very Top has been replaced with laminate, was probably marble at one time, too tall for average person to see. less

Mid 19th century French Empire or Louis Phillipe Period Secretaire a Abbatant, Rectangular top above a conforming cabinet fitted with concealed Frieze drawer over a drop front opening to an inset leather writing surface and original mirror backed architrave interior fitted with ormolou bronze mounted columns and arched architectural designs, small fitted drawers to either side. Cabinet in gorgeous flame grained Mahogany with canted corners and Fitted with 3 graduated drawers, Raised On ebonised and ribbed Feet.
