A fabulous carved and gilt antique painting frame. The frame is Italian panel frame variation from the 17th/18th century. It is fully carved, including the acanthus leaves, frieze channel, and beaded edge. While there is some loss due to worm damage underlying the carved detail, this only adds to the character of the frame. It is a truly special frame.
