This antique table from France features a half-circular/demi shaped marble top, raised upon a wood frame with rounded apron pierce-carved in a swirl of acanthus leaves. Carved flower heads are framed within the apron, just above each of the four fluted cylindrical legs, carved with beaded accents at top, wrapped acanthus leaves just above their squared ankles with carved flower heads (continuing the theme from the apron above) and terminating into turned feet. The legs are braced at their ankles with a pair of curved wooden stretcher bars, which are adorn atop their centering intersection with a neoclassical-inspired three dimensional urn with foliage gently cascading out of each side. The wood has a new/custom finish in earthy hues of grey and brown, which compliment the original marble top (a creamy off-white color with taupe/brown veining). This 19th century French Neoclassical console table, with it's original marble top, will be a splendid piece for your foyer, living room, or perhaps a stairway landing. See less
