A copper plate with an unusual artist etching (perhaps a student exercise on perspective) depicting an eerie scene in an urban subway or train station with a solitary male figure in a trench coat holding a handkerchief waiting apart from (seemingly surveilling) a pair of women (or a woman and a girl) who are standing closer to the tracks. Brings to mind an illustration from a mystery book or a movie of the film noir genre set in the city.
The copper plate measures 17 1/8" tall by 12" wide. It is sold unmounted.
