With … more In 1853, Pierre Francois-Pascal Guerlain was tasked with creating a fragrance to commemorate Empress Eugenie's marriage to Napoleon III. With master glassmaker Pochet du Corval, this iconic piece of historical art was created to accent the scent. Inspired from the Colonne Vendome in Paris, womans pannier dresses and the fabulous gilding as seen in second empire palaces. The bee bottle features cylindrical design reminiscent of the Napoleon I column in the Palace Vendome, engraved with the emperor's coat of arms and adorned with bees as the symbol of the French Empire. Each bottle is sealed by artists trained for years, the Les Dame De Table using the traditional technique of baudruchage, which predates modern vacuum seals. A symbol of luxury and tradition. Never opened. Fabulous addition to your vanity display or any area in your home needing a touch of class and style. less
