The outlines of the figures were meticulously cut from black paper. This template was then filled in with colored washi paper.

The piece bears a signature (hanko) in the bottom right corner and is framed (acrylic glass).

These seven deities are often depicted together as a group bringing fortune and prosperity.

Ebisu: God of fishing, commerce, and labor.
Daikokuten: God of agriculture, wealth, and culinary skills.
Bishamonten: God of war, protection, and justice.
Benzaiten: Goddess of knowledge, arts, and music, associated with water.
Fukurokuju: God of luck, wisdom, and longevity.
Hotei: God of abundance, contentment, often depicted with a jovial figure and a smile.
