Contemporary original, with original patina, restored in the condition it was found in, from an aristocratic property.
The chest was probably extensively restored in historicism around 1900. I think that the chest is significantly older than the carved top.
In pleasingly good condition for its age (museum).
Old woodworm traces that are no longer active, very massive and heavily worked.
Original lock, key missing.
The chest can be dismantled into three parts, the carved top part, the middle part with armrests and the chest are all just plugged in
