Kettle melodic 9091 from alessis designed by richard sapper. The central element of this object is the copper flute in the pitches “e” and “b”, which plays a nice little melody when the steam comes out. Richard sapper wanted to avoid the unpleasant whistling sound of conventional kettles and with this purely poetic solution he created the first alessi object for multiple senses.
