During World War II Jensen's Fifth Avenue New York city store was unable to import wares from Denmark. The store commissioned William Dematteo, a New Jersey silversmith, to make Jensen designed silver pieces to be sold at the store. For several decades after the war, Damatteo made pieces similar to Jensen designs which he sold with his own name. These were similar to but not exact reproductions of Jensen designs. As an example, Jensen did not make a round blossom trinket dish. See less
