Artist: Dubuffet, Jean
This original vintage poster was designed to promote an exhibition of Jean Dubuffet's gouache works at Galerie Claude Bernard. The Parisian Claude Bernard gallery has been in operation since 1957 and continues to showcase modern and contemporary painting and sculpture.
Known primarily for his development of art brut, the Dubuffet's 'l'Hourloupe' series was created between 1962 and 1974 and intended to reference the artist's new style employing white, red, and blue. 1964 was also the year of Dubuffet's show at the Palazzo Grassi in Venice.
This poster comes from a private collection. It is in excellent condition and ready to be framed. less
