Executed in rich colours and confident brushstrokes, this artwork depicts a lone male figure by coastal huts, overlooking the ocean with strong tidal waves. The figure is looking out towards the choppy waters, standing deep in thought.
With areas of thick impasto creating texture and three-dimensionality – the work is imbued with a strong sense of movement, as one can almost feel the energy of the breaking waves.
