The elephant's right tusk seems to have been repaired and possibly re-soldered. In addition the tusk has been reinforced with a star-headed screw at some point during one of it's previous lives. The repaired tusk and all other extremities feel solid and sturdy. We have meticulously inspected this statue and found no major damages or other defects. Also we have gently and thoroughly cleaned this piece but we have not polished it. We feel the natural aging has created a beautiful patina alongside the timeworn shine that really enhances the look and feel of this majestic pachyderm. less
