Original oil painting on canvas, signed "Marion Broom" c.1930s. Marion Broom (1878-1962) was a prolific exhibitor and among many regularly exhibited at the Royal Academy and Royal Institute of Oil Painters. In 1924 she was inducted into the British Watercolour Society. This is a beautiful depiction of a floral bouquet on canvas and framed in an ornate gold frame. The canvas and paint condition are good and the frame is sturdy and shows only minor vintage wear. There is one errant paint spot on the left-hand side of the canvas (dark brown paint mark in the middle of the white field) made by the artist at the time of painting. Overall this is a lovely painting and displays nicely; would be a focal point of any room. Dimensions: 29.5" tall x 26" wide x 3" deep.
