Crafted in Mahogany with a green marble top, the console is adorned … more Absolutely spectacular French Empire Console with matching mirror. Crafted in Mahogany with a green marble top, the console is adorned with gilt bronze laurel wreaths with bows, gilt bronze ormolu escutcheon, gilt bronze sun, figural heads of a classical Venus, with legs trimmed in green marble and gilt bronze trim. The console consists of a single drawer and a lower section with a mirrored back, with the legs finished off with gilt bronze paws. The mirror is stunning with gilt bronze swags, trumpeting angels and the face of Venus. Recessed arch is trimmed with gilt bronze roping. The mirror is visually supported with green marble columns with corinthian tops and bases of gilt bronze. The top of the mirror is completed with a gilt bronze French bow detail.
