Direct from France, a superb set of six antique French dining chairs, with classic French style…perfect for a kitchen OR dining room. Please note this matching set includes TWO arm chairs and FOUR side chairs, which is quite hard to find, as the arm chairs frequently get separated over the years!
These are substantial chairs with a beautiful silhouette that features a center carving to the upper rail and beveled serpentine vertical slat backs.
The elegant carvings continue on the shaped apron front as well as the knees of the cabriole legs.
The original rush seats are present on all 6 chairs. These are heavy chairs, solid oak, sturdy and suitable for daily use; well built by craftsmen of the period, circa 1900.
