This was purchased from a shop in Germany that gets pieces direct from the storage rooms of the furnaces. The "heart" or "blood spot" in the squirrel is a dark amber. You can see by the excellent condition of the label that it has been tucked away from much movement all these years. He does have a bit of ash in his cheek which is not uncommon in older Murano pieces.
It measures about 4.5"H x 3.5"L x 2.5"W and weighs 0.9# less
