*Mario Buatta was a renowned American interior decorator who championed a specific furniture style. He was particularly fond of the English Country House aesthetic, favoring soft, upholstered pieces, floral fabrics, and a sense of comfortable elegance. His influence helped bring this style to America, and he was even nicknamed "The Prince of Chintz" for his love of the brightly colored floral fabric. While not all his designs incorporated furniture he designed himself, his work popularized a certain type of furnishing that remains sought-after today.
*John Widdicomb furniture represents American luxury crafted over generations. Founded in 1858, the company built a reputation for quality and adaptability, creating pieces that transitioned from period revival styles to modern design. John Widdicomb collaborated with iconic designers like T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings and George Nakashima, resulting in sought-after pieces across various styles.
