In the old days in Sweden, this type of vessel was used as a serving jug. In swedish it is called " Stånka ".

Stånka is a large drinking vessel made of wood or metal, with a handle and lid. It was especially used for beer.

An antique handmade and handpainted old wooden jug from the 1900s.
This old rustic jug is a beautiful addition to a country kitchen or as part of a rustic dècor.

The jug has no damage except for traces of use and that it has taken on a blue color. What is a little worn in the wood is only on the edge at the bottom.

The height up to the handle is 30cm. Diameter at the bottom is 23 cm and at the top 18 cm. less
