Beautiful vintage sun wheel cuff bracelet by Navajo Native American artist Juliana Williams made of sterling silver and turquoise. The artist uses a clusters of turquoise pieces to create a sun in the center and a smaller suns on either side. Williams bezel set 42 hand shaped individual turquoise stones into sterling silver to create this stunning piece. The stones are set upon sterling silver plates and detailed with rope twists, sterling silver beads and sterling silver wire. The background oxidation brings out the detail and adds depth.
The Sun symbol is of great importance to the Navajo Tribe. The sun was honored by them as the provider of light, heat and growth. The rays of the sun signified the cardinal directions, North, South, East and West.
The interior circumference is 6.5" including the open area which is 1.25". It has a little bit of adjustability to it since the silver is flexible, but not a lot. It is 1.95" tall by 2.70" across by 1.73" deep. less
