Very rare meissen art nouveau porcelain figurines: two children with colorful hoops: standing boy in sailor dress, holding the hoop with both hands behind him standing on the ground, supported from behind by a tree trunk, the girl in a dress with a ring pattern and a bow in her hair, holding the hoop with her left hand standing in front of her on the ground, in her right hand a stick, supported from behind under the dress by a ball. Both figures on flat round bases with relief decoration on the sides with light gray background. Designer: alfred könig (1871 - 1940) studied at the art academy in dresden, since 1897 he worked in the meissen manufactory as a designer and modeler. The artist specialized in the design of human figures in various variations, such as genre figures, children, athletes, soldiers etc. Models x 101 & x 102 were created 1900/1910.
