Its unique shape is timeless and incredibly versatile, showing character without overwhelming the eye. The chair is made from molded plywood to ensure strength, flexibility and durability despite its slim shape. It was presented at the h55 international design exhibition in sweden in 1955 and was arne jacobsen's response to criticism of the ant chair. The 3207 was a stunning response, with perfectly proportioned armrests that follow the contours of the curved backrest while extending the soft lines of the rear legs, thus creating a perfectly balanced and extremely comfortable design.
