The focus of much of his body of work was his etchings. His art reflected the glamour and fashion of the era, often with a sensual aspect as in the work offered here. This copper plate etching is appropriately titled "On His Knees” (1938). contains all of those aspects of his work. It is appropriately framed in a modestly ornate gold frame.
