This exquisite Chinese dowry or keepsake box is adorned with a hand-carved double dragon pattern in low relief on the top and each side, hand-painted in red with black and gilt ornate designs. Sophistication is added by the brass handles and latch. The interior is lined with emerald felt. The box rests on a beautiful wooden stand.
The box was crafted in China around the 1960s, and its stand originates from Japan.
