Illum Wikkelsö believed that furniture should be built to last, to indulge the body and to please the eye. These chairs certainly fit that bill. He graduated as cabinetmaker in 1940 and after 3 years at the Technical Society School and Danish School of Arts & Crafts he established his own company in Aarhus. Illum Wikkelsø is a talented Danish designer who has contributed to the rise of Scandinavian design worldwide. These chairs are in good original condition, extremely comfortable and would look dynamic in any living room or library. less
