These were at one time miners safety lamps. The function was light and safety from gas in a mine. This is a set of the three, all different pieces but same company. We made them into little lamps. We added cording and bulbs and now you can plug them in and enjoy them 100+ years later. They have an amazing history also. These are the little lanterns that carried the flame from Greece before the Olympics. They would relay the torch from the Olympic site in Greece to a nearby ship. At this point they would have a bunch of these small miners lamps. They would piggyback off one to the next and keep the flame going. Once they hit land the next torch would be lit from the lanterns and then proceed to the new Olympic site. Really fascinating history.
the company is probably long gone, but they were created by a London Company- Eccles/ Manchester Protector Lamp&Lighting Co. LTD / i will hit Unknown below but each lantern has the company name on the face of the lamp. less
