This piece is a rare find due to its size, age, and beauty. It is from the early 1900s and was Italian made. The desk is finished on all of its sides so can be placed anywhere in a room and because of its size anywhere in the house. It sits on elegant tapered legs. The Burl wood is prized for its unusual grain pattern. The grain of the wood swirls around the edges of the drawers, forming interesting pattern in the wood in a mirror fashion, as you can see in the pictures. This piece is very well made with quality that surpasses most pieces made today. Yet, the disclaimer to this piece is that it was made well over 70 years ago and may have some minor imperfections on it but overall it's in excellent shape.
We at the shop think it would look very nice as an entry table with an Italian mirror above it like the 1930s Venetian Baroque-Styled Large Framed Rectangular Mirror we have for sale. That last part was a bit self-serving…maybe just a bit. less
