This is for an Antique Fireplace Fender that is a very heavy and solid brass that is a solid piece … more This is for an Antique Fireplace Fender that is a very heavy and solid brass that is a solid piece of pierced brass that is rolled at edges over a steel bar and bent at the corners.
The fender measures : 54 inches long x 6 3/4 inches tall x 13.5 inches deep. It has curved center and is in good condition with an additional solid piece of brass on the base. It is polished and will patina over time.
Please measure the area you want to use to make sure the piece works for your space as it is very large. There are no makers marks or dates on the item but it appears to be English and an antique. It is polished and meticulously cleaned and it appeared to have never been done in the past. This item is in age appropriate condition and will be shipped safely to arrive and enjoyed right away and will be insured and a signature required upon arrival.
The piece shows wear as shown in the pictures mostly on the top with small dents in the brass. There are areas also on the back where the brass was not able to be completely cleaned. One obvious note is that there is copper in the brass which confirms it as older due to how was made years ago and not like current cheaper brass.
