A limited edition abstract etching by the French artist Claude Weisbuch (1927–2014). A quartet of musicians plays while a figure with staff stands before them in this expressive abstract etching. Signed to the lower right and numbered 27/200 to the lower left, the work is displayed in a black and gold tone wooden frame and a white and brown double mat.
Claude Weisbuch studied at the Beaux-arts de Nancy in France. He is best known for his detailed line drawings and etchings depicting musicians, horses, and live performances. His work can be found in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
