Exceptional burlwood and leather entry chest with brass lion's head hardware handmade by the artisans at Kindel Furniture, for their … Read more Exceptional burlwood and leather entry chest with brass lion's head hardware handmade by the artisans at Kindel Furniture, for their Councill Furniture division.....the top of the chest is covered with a beautiful alligator skin-pattern leather, as are the faces of three large lower drawers....this leather is absolutely stunning (photos 3,4, and 7)....the chest is constructed of gorgeous burlwood (photo 5 shows the burl on the sides), and actually features 4 drawers total....the top drawer is slim, and somewhat disguised (photo 9)....the brass lion's head pulls are striking against the rich leather drawers (photo 4)....just a dynamite piece, likely a custom designer piece, I've not been able to find another like it....Councill is one of the brands under the Kindel "umbrella", similar to Karges....Councill pieces are made by the same artisans that make Kindel and Karges pieces....all of their pieces are predominantly hand made and finished using the best materials you'll find in furniture....this chest is in excellent condition, with a very small amount of finish wear to the leather top, and a bit of finish wear around the feet, but certainly nothing conspicuous....this piece represents a rare level of quality, and would be a difference-making addition to any space..
