Description: This is a set of two vintage green pottery vessels made by Blacksville Pottery in West Virginia in 1948. The … more This is a set of two vintage green pottery vessels made by Blacksville Pottery in West Virginia in 1948. The vessels are signed by D.F. and have a red bottom. They are rare and feature an ash glaze finish with an ombré pattern. The first pottery was made by Edgar Richardson, who taught pottery at Clay-Battelle High School. The vessels are hand-molded and handmade, with a handle and an incised back stamp. They are 9 inches long, 7 inches tall, and 7.5 inches wide, weighing 4LB.

Blacksville pottery of West Virginia pitcher measuring approx 7" tall x 9" wide and the smaller creamer measuring approx 4" tall x 8" wide. Both are Red clay pottery with sea foam green glazed finish and stamped on the bottom as shown. less
